Eugene Lee Finch, 63, of Windsor, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Claude Fields will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to family choice.
Born Feb. 27, 1943, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Lewis R. Finch and Mabel L. Junge Finch. On April 9, 2002, he married Shirley Griffitt who survives of the home. He had lived in the St. Louis area for many years where he worked as Chief Engineer and Boiler Engineer for the Lieberman Corporation. While in St. Louis he was also instrumental in the organizing phase of numerous building projects. He had lived in Windsor since 2001.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Eugene L. Finch of St. Jacob, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Shelly Lee of Omaha, Neb., and Vicki Melton of Kansas City, Kan.; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Finch of Imperial; his mother-in-law, Nola Goldena Griffitt of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Laura Murphy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mabel Murphy.
