Kenneth R. Fiene, 78, of Sedalia, formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, with military rites. Rev. Claude Fields will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials may be made to family choice.
Born Nov. 15, 1928, in Sweet Springs, he was the son of the late Lawrence Fiene and Pinky Lavina Scharnhorst Fiene. On Aug. 29, 1952, he married Wanda Dunsmore, who preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 1975. In May of 1979, he married Katie M. Howser Rafferty, who preceded him in death on Sept. 9, 2002. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a retired mechanic with Sullivan Brothers Service Station where he had worked for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Fiene of Marshall; one stepson, Tom Rafferty of Marshall; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Mabrey of Marshall and Helen Howerton of Nowata, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by one brother, Willard "Bill" Fiene.
