Robert Clifton Carmichael, 86, of Marshall, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Wisconsin.
Born Sept. 7, 1920, in Oriskany Falls, N.Y., he was the son of the late William Carmichael and Emily Cloute Carmichael. On June 22, 1946, in Fort Atkinson, Wis., he married Shirley Lawrence, who preceded him in death. He had lived in Marshall the past five years, moving from Tucson, Ariz., and was owner/operator of a metal spinning company. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Fort Atkinson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include three sons, Bob Carmichael of Waunakee, Wis., Scott Carmichael of Crofton, Md., and Tim Carmichael of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Carol Chameau of Pasadena, Calif., and Debra Williamsen of Marshall; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Carmichael of Jefferson, Wis., and Richard Carmichael of Sun Prairie, Wis.; one sister, Agnes Palenshus of Elkhorn, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, George Carmichael; and two sisters, Mary Fleming and Jean Fischer.
