Glenn R. Buckles, 63, of Marshall, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at Ashley Manor in Boonville.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Pastor Ken Randolph will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association or family choice.
Born March 9, 1943, in Green Ridge, he was the son of the late Leroy Buckles and Gladys Guymon Buckles. On July 19, 1966, he married Wanda Rose McCoy, who preceded him in death on Jan. 18, 2004. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a truck driver for Fletcher Grain Company, now Central Missouri AgriService, for over 30 years. He was a member of DeWitt Baptist Church in DeWitt. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1961 to 1964.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Clark and Rose Mary Buckles, both of Marshall; two granddaughters, Brittney Clark and Sara Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
