Sterling Eugene "Bucky" Coleman, 75, of Marshall, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, in Warsaw.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Russell Coleman, Jason Coleman, Aaron Coleman, Dusty Coleman, Raymond Bucky Coleman and Zach King. Memorials may be made to Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice or American Cancer Society.
Born March 30, 1931, in Slater, he was the son of the late William "Bill" Coleman and Susie Singleton Coleman. On May 19, 1951, he married Betty L. Chevalier; she preceded him in death on April 22, 2005. He had lived in Saline County his entire life and was owner/operator of Boyd Street Café in Marshall for over 30 years. He was a member of Malta Bend United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four sons: Franklin Eugene Coleman of Marshall; Alan Dale Coleman of Marshall; Mark Edward Coleman of Dallas, Texas; and David Eugene Coleman of Kansas City; one daughter, Rhonda Jo King of Marshall; 12 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol Officer of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Sterling LeRoy Coleman; one brother, William Coleman; and two sisters, Betty Harris and Helen Shirley Chevalier.
