Joyce Mae Miller-Sherwood-Gorsuch, 79, of Cameron, formerly of Marshall, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at Cameron Manor in Cameron.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Donald Hill will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Liberty Hospital.
Born April 15, 1927, in Urbana, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy Miller and Bessie Parrack Miller. She was a graduate of Marshall High School. She married Joe Sherwood, who preceded her in death. She later married Richard Gorsuch who also preceded her in death. She worked as a kitchen aid at Pringles in Cameron. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include daughter Gwenda Trump of Perry, Iowa; daughter Janice Hill of Green Ridge; daughter Jeanne Schweisberger of Cameron; son Robert Sherwood of Gardner, Kan.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Miller of Marshall; sister Phyllis Blankenship of Carmichael, Calif.; sister Doris Thomas of Liberty; sister Patty Ballenger of Warsaw; and sister Janice Dingly of Cordova, S.C.; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Gary Sherwood; one brother who is still missing in action, Lt. Col. Carl Miller; and one sister, Betty Curtis.
