Leanna M. Johnson, 64, of Slater, died Friday Sept. 15, 2006, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slater. Rev. Michael Penn will officiate. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery in Glasgow. Pallbearers will be Tom Haskamp, Jr., Brian Haskamp, Ben Haskamp, Spencer Haskamp, Daniel Haskamp and Jeff Johnson. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the church with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born May 6, 1942, in Aholt, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Frances Hackman Haskamp. On Aug. 22, 1959, in Glasgow, she married Larry H. Johnson, and he survives of the home.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slater and lived in the Slater area for many years.
Also surviving are five daughters, Lisa Taylor and her husband, Kim of Slater, Lori East and her husband Rick of Overland Park, Kan., Lynn King and her husband Ronnie of rural Napton, Linda Leimkuehler and her husband David of rural Gilliam and Leslie Patterson and her husband Todd of Liberty; four grandchildren, Kirtley Taylor, Andrew Wacker, Christina Wacker and Miranda Leimkuehler; two step-grandchilden, Jerid King and Katie East, six brothers, James Haskamp, Norman Haskamp, Melvin Haskamp and Robert Haskamp all of Glasgow, Tom Haskamp of New Franklin and Leon Haskamp of Windsor and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Haskamp.
