Bertha Ann Washington, 86, of Kansas City, formerly of Marshall, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, at Clara Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall with Dr. Frankie L. Witherspoon officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Slater. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday until service time at the funeral home.

She was born Sept. 16, 1919, in Slater, the daughter of Frank and Dollie Hobbs Washington. She was a member of the Jackson Memorial Free Will Baptist Church in Kansas City.

Survivors include, one brother, Earl Washington of Marshall and one sister-in-law Gladys Washington of Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
