Eva Mae Miller, 95, of Garnett, Kan., died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at the Golden Heights Living Center in Garnett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett, Kan., with Fr. Brian Klingele officiating. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel in Garnett, Kan.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1910, in Marshall. She was the daughter of the late Lot Doughty and the late Hannah (Atchley) Doughty. On June 5, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan., she married Adolph Miller, who preceded her in death in 1990. She was employed as a secretary and analytic fire insurance rater for the Kansas Inspection Bureau and Insurance Services Organization. Upon retirement, she and her husband moved to Garnett, Kan., on June 26, 1977, from Kansas City, Kan. She was a member of Pi Gamma Mu, a social science honorary, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution chapter of Marshall. She was a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church and Altar Society and a member of the Friends of Garnett Library.
She is survived by two cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters, Chlorene Doughty, Jessie Humphreys and Irene Short; and one brother, Maurice Doughty.
