Ludwill Allen "Bill" Cramer III, 84 of Boonville, died at Katy Manor Care Center in Pilot Grove Friday night, Sept. 1, 2006, after a short battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at Davis Funeral Chapel with Deacon Marty Byer officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at David Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Peninsula Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron Vollmer, Bobby McDonough, Craig McGuire, Gary Cramer, Lance Griffin and David Hotel. Friends may register on line at Davisfuneralchapelboonville.com.
He was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Blackwater, the son of Ludwill Allen Cramer II and Nellie (Talley) Cramer. He married Millie Taylor on July 4, 1942, in Marshall.
He moved to Boonville in 1997 to be close to family. He retired as an executive with Reliable Life Insurance Company. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II, from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of Christ Church Episcopal in Boonville.
He is survived by his wife, Millie, who is at Katy Manor Care Center; his daughter, Joy Cramer Vollmer of Boonville; and a sister, Jessie McDonough of Marshall. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Isabel Finley and Anna May McGuire.
