Frances Ruth Lueck, 76, rural Alma, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma. Pastor Fred Hertwig will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the church where visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran School in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
Born Nov. 8, 1929, in Tarkio, she was the daughter of the late Albert Fischer and Helena Kleeman Fischer. On Feb. 6, 1949, she married Vernon Edward Carl Lueck, who survives of the home. She began her teaching career in Mt. Pulaski, Ill., and also taught at Zion Lutheran School in Blackburn, Holy Cross Lutheran School in Emma, Trinity Lutheran School in Alma, Immanuel Lutheran School in Higginsville, and Zion Lutheran School in Corder. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she had served in the Ladies' Guild, a member of Beta Sigma Psi Sorority and a former member of the Saline County Extension Club.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Darinda Ferguson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Debra Justin of Springfield, Ill., Kathy Bredehoeft of Alma; six grandchildren; three great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Opal Robertson.
