Willa Mae Allen

Willa Mae Allen, 93, of Gilliam died Saturday, Aug. 26, in Kansas City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the St. Paul Free Will Baptist Church in Slater with Rev. Anna Hopkins officiating, Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Slater. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at the church. H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall is in charge of the services.

Willa Mae Allen was born April 4, 1913, in Gilliam, the daughter of William and Sara Jones Henderson. She was a member of the St. John's Temple Free Will Baptist Church in Gilliam. She retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center in 1975.

Survivors include: three sons, James Allen of Slater, Donald Allen and Rodney Allen both of Kansas City; and one daughter, Gwendolyn Allen of Kansas City; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
