Peggy Jo Thomas, 53, of Marshall, died Saturday, Aug, 26, 2006, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Born June 28, 1953, in Bernie, she was the daughter of the late Jewell Estes and Melba Jean Chadwell Estes. On June 29, 1991, she married Harvard Thomas who survives of the home. She had lived in Saline County most of her life and had worked at the Marshall Habilitation Center and Lake City Arsenal.

Additional survivors include one daughter, Peggy JoAnn Luke and husband, Brian, of Columbia; one son, John Mahan and wife, Andrea, of Excelsior Springs; two stepsons, Keith Thomas of Pensacola, Fla. and Jeff Thomas and wife, Vickie, of Malta Bend; one stepdaughter, Connie Rayl and husband, Jeff, of Bonne Terre; eight grandchildren, Fallon Browder, Shawn Browder, Kristian Browder, Andy Peterson, Haley Peterson, Robert Mahan, Uylesses Thomas and Josh Rayl; one great-grandson, Garrett Hood; four sisters, Ailene Monnig of Glasgow, Marilyn Frazee of Glasgow, Virgie Ross of Marshall, Carolyn Lodes of Lawton, Okla. and one brother, Jerry Estes of Gladstone; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Ballew and Rosemary Estes.
