Bill Meyer, 57, of Marshall, died Saturday Aug. 19, 2006, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at the Sweeney Reser Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. The Rev. James Case will officiate. Burial with military rites will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Higginsville. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sweeney Reser Wills Funeral Home in Marshall.
He was born May 9, 1949, at Alma, Kans., the son of the late Robert Meyer and Helen Schutter Meyer. On Nov. 8, 1991. at Carrollton, he married Nancy L. Wohlgemuth and she survives of the home. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked heavy construction in Kansas and Missouri and worked at the coal mines near Moberly. He and his wife moved to Marshall in 1994 and he had been employed at Cargill Meat Solutions.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Dawn Meyer of Moberly; one stepson Billy Joe Booker of Hardin; one stepdaughter Angela Louise Creason of Carrollton; three brothers, Robert Meyer of Topeka, Kans., Gerald and Ricky Dean Meyer both of El Dorado Springs; three sisters Sharon Gardner, Carol Keith and Leann Rusik all of El Dorado Springs; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
