Wilma Lee Lobaugh, 81, of Marshall, formerly of Sedalia, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at her son's home.

She was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Fayette, the daughter of Thomas Withers and Madellener Rhue Lessley Wright. On June 20, 1948, in Sedalia, she was married to Jack L. Lobaugh, who preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1987.

Her education began in Fayette and continued in Sedalia, where she graduated from Smith Cotton High School. She worked at Whiteman Air Force Base during World War II. She later worked as a homemaker. Lobaugh was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Sedalia.

During the fifties and sixties, she was an avid contester winning numerous prizes.

Surviving are a son, Ronald Lobaugh of Marshall; a sister, Mary Frances Rouchka, of Sedalia; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Drew Hill officiating. Pallbearers will be Bob Bruce, Denny Cline, Mike Layton, Larry Parker, Robert Smith and Fred Smith. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, or Fitzgibbon -- Mary Montgomery Hospice of Marshall, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
