Frieda Alvina Ehlert Utlaut, 101, of Waverly, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at St. Luke United Church of Christ in Grand Pass. Rev. Timothy Rhodes and Rev. William Nagy will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Grand Pass. Memorials may be made to St. Luke United Church of Christ or Evangelical Children's Home.

Born Nov. 18, 1904, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Henry Ehlert and Rosa Lydia Huerner Ehlert. On Oct. 10, 1930, she married Lorenz Ernest Utlaut who preceded her in death on April 20, 1980. She had lived in Grand Pass most of her life. She was a member of St. Luke United Church of Christ, St. Luke United Church of Christ Women's Guild and the Grand Pass Extension Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Rozella Nagy and husband, William, of St. Charles, Ill. and Celia Drake of Waverly; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Clarence Ehlert and wife, Mildred, of Concordia; one sister, Delia Bredehoeft of Higginsville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Garold Drake; six sisters, Louise Ehlert, Florence Mertle, Anna Fisher, Edna Brandt, Dora Hensley and Toleda Proett, and one brother, Raymond Ehlert.
