David "T.J." Fifer, 55, of Slater, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, at home.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Cliff Cato will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Family Choice.
Born Sept. 16, 1950, in Peoria, Ill., he was the son of the late Theodore Willis Fifer and Virginia Millard Fifer Burch. He was a graduate of Pekin High School in Pekin, Ill. On Dec. 31, 1984, he married Sharon K. Mullineaux who survives of the home. He had lived in Slater since 1995 and had attended Southside Assembly of God in Marshall. He had been employed at Keystone Steel and Wire in Bartonville, Ill., and then at the Marshall Habilitation Center until his retirement.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Diana Fifer of Pekin, Ill. and Sarah Rose Fifer of Peoria, Ill.; two sons, Roy Michael Fifer of Peoria, Ill. and David Fifer of Pekin, Ill.; several grandchildren; one sister Cheryl Capps of Mackinaw, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Gerald Burch.
