M. Louise "Pickles" Sylvester, 48, of Sweet Springs, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Rev. Randy Shannon and William W. Harlow will officiate. Burial will be in Zoar Baptist Cemetery at Napton. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family's choice.
Born Sept. 12, 1957, in Marshall, she was the daughter of Jack Robert Hanes and Wilma Maxine Bakert Hanes, who survive of Sweet Springs. On Nov. 28, 1975, she married Vernon L. Sylvester, who survives of Sweet Springs. She had lived in the Sweet Springs area most of her life, where she worked at Rival Manufacturing for 18 years and also at Sweet Springs Flower Shop.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Wilena M. Schleicher of Sweet Springs; one step-daughter, Paula Case of Malta Bend; one step-son Jeremy Sylvester of Parkville; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Davis and Jeannie Peeples Ritter of Alma; one brother, Jack "Chris" Hanes of Nelson; maternal grandmother, Lennie Bakert of Marshall; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Michael Hanes and one step-grandson, Zachary Allen Sylvester.
