Adolph Lohmann, 100, of Concordia, formerly of rural Sweet Springs, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, at The Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs. Rev. Alfred Rodewald officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Sweet Springs Radio Broadcast or The Lutheran Nursing Home in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
Born Feb. 10, 1906, in rural Sweet Springs, he was the son of the late John Lohmann and Meta Heins Lohmann. He had lived in the rural Sweet Springs area his entire life where he was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Sweet Springs American Legion. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he had held various offices.
Survivors include one nephew, Wilbert Freund of Concordia; one niece, Luella Lange, of Concordia; along with several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
