The Missouri Department of Transportation's maintenance bridge crew will begin structural repairs on the Miami River bridge on Route 41 in Saline and Carroll counties next week.

Work will begin on Monday, July 31, and is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 31, weather permitting.

Most of the work will take place from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Additionally, crews may work Friday through Sunday during various stages of the repair.

The bridge will be reduced to one-lane traffic during working hours, and reopened to two-lane traffic when crews are not working.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution in and around the work zone and choose alternate routes when possible.
