Joy L. Albisu, 43, of rural Marshall, died Thursday, July 20, 2006, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will also be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Ill.. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Turnbull Funeral Home. Burial will be in Monmouth Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Family Choice.
Born Jan. 28, 1963, in Monmouth, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Ervin Hull and Kathy Pittman Hull Murphy who survives of rural Marshall. On April 25, 2003, she married Pete Albisu who survives of the home. She had lived in rural Marshall since March of 2003 and was employed by GMS Transportation.
Additional survivors include three sons, Steven Cooper of Dallas, Texas, Joshua Cooper of Sweet Springs and Thomas Coleman of rural Marshall; two stepchildren, Stephanie Albisu and Anthony Albisu both of Sweet Springs; her stepfather, Fred Murphy of rural Marshall; two grandchildren; one sister, Wendy Sue Hull of rural Marshall; one stepbrother, Tony Murphy of Monmouth, Ill.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Tawni Burkett and Christina Murphy.
