George A. Harris, 81, of Marshall, died Thursday, July 20, 2006, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July, 24, at the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Boonville with Rev. Horace Hopkins officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
George Harris was born March 25, 1925, in Saline County, the son of Leland Charles and Pearl Mae Butler Harris. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center. He married Anna Frances Hale and after her death in 1982, he married Loretta Gillaspy in 1990.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, George L. Harris of Farmington, Mark Hagar of Marshall and Mic Hagar of Kansas City; one daughter Shawn Hager of Marshall; two brothers, Melvin Butler of Boonville and Marvin Butler of Kansas City; and six grandchildren.
