Frederick William (Bill) Meschede, 75, of Boerne, Texas, formerly of Marshall, died Sunday, July 16, 2006, at Meridian Care Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Richard Luebbering will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Born Feb. 13, 1931, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Richard Edward Meschede and Lutie Ramey Meschede. He was a graduate of Mercy Academy in Marshall. On May 25, 1957, he married Shirley Jean Chevalier who preceded him in death Nov. 5, 2001. He had lived in Boerne since 1988, moving from Marshall, and retired from International Shoe Co. in Marshall and was a farmer. He was a member of Honey Creek Catholic Church in Texas and was also a member of Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include one son, James Meschede of rural Marshall; one daughter, Sheila Harris of Boerne, Texas; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his aunt who raised him Clara B. (Sis) Meschede, and one brother, Joseph Richard Meschede.
