Emmet T. Weaver, 84, of Albuquerque, N.M., died Sunday, July 9, 2006, in Albuquerque. He will be buried in Santa Fe National Cemetery in N.M.

Born Jan. 19, 1922, in Quay, N.M., he had been retired from truck driving since 1988. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 77 of Logan, N.M., and a veteran of World War II, serving in England, France and Germany.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce; sisters-in-law, Wanda Aufenkamp, Overland Park, Kansas., Mrs. Ann Wells, and Karen Rae Carter, of Marshall, and Jacque Lynn Divine, Nelson; brother-in-law Harry E. Mackey, South Branson. He was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Blanch E. Wells, Nelson; and brother-in-law Jay Wells, Marshall.
