Born Jan. 19, 1922, in Quay, N.M., he had been retired from truck driving since 1988. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 77 of Logan, N.M., and a veteran of World War II, serving in England, France and Germany.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce; sisters-in-law, Wanda Aufenkamp, Overland Park, Kansas., Mrs. Ann Wells, and Karen Rae Carter, of Marshall, and Jacque Lynn Divine, Nelson; brother-in-law Harry E. Mackey, South Branson. He was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Blanch E. Wells, Nelson; and brother-in-law Jay Wells, Marshall.
