Norman Stahl, 80, of Marshall, died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Harry S. Truman Memorial VA Hospital in Columbia,
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Roger Wreath will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia. Pallbearers will be Corey King, Nick Pointer, Kerry DeHaan, Jeff Moad, Luke Tartenaar, and William Stahl. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Born Jan. 15, 1926, in Tipton, he was the son of the late Clarence Stahl and Cordelia Wood Stahl. On May 14, 1944, he married Mary E. Crecelius who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a graduate of Otterville High School. He was owner and operator of Reid Jewelry in Marshall and a member of First United Methodist Church in Marshall. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Judy Gillette of Ft. Worth, Texas; and Lori Stahl of Columbia; one son, Dennis Stahl of rural Marshall; nine grandchildren; one sister, Malva Gehlken of Sedalia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Jean Tartenaar, one great-grandson, Logan DeHaan, and two brothers.
