M. "Blanche" Barron Harrison, 90, of Mulberry, Ind., died Wednesday, July 5, 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. CDT Friday, July 7, at Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Church in Lafayette, Ind. Visitation will be from 8 to 10 a.m. CDT at Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. CDT Friday, July 7, in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Ind. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Church or the Tippecanoe County Humane Society.
Born Dec. 22, 1915 near Marshall, she was the daughter of the late George Arthur and Emma Jane Wingfield Barron. On Feb. 12, 1943, in Marshall, she married J.L. "Sarge" Harrison, who preceded her in death Aug. 15, 1990. She lived in Marshall; Lafayette, Ind.; and Valparaiso, Ind. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1933 and worked as a retail sales clerk for Lowenstein's in Valparaiso, Ind., and retired in 1986.
Survivors include a daughter, Vicki J. Royer of Lafayette, Ind.; two sons, Joseph A. Harrison of Westville, Ind., and Roger L. Harrison of Lafayette, Ind.; a sister, Ruth Barron Kent of Mulberry, Ind.; three granddaughters; four grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a great-granddaughter.
