Helen A. Fenner, 84, of rural Malta Bend, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at Grand Pass United Methodist Church in Grand Pass. Rev. Darlene Payne will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Grand Pass Community Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Grand Pass United Methodist Church or Maple Hill Cemetery in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Aug. 17, 1921, in Waverly, she was the daughter of the late Arthur B. Closterman and Emma Elizabeth Cox Closterman. On April 24, 1948, in Marshall, she married Harry Fenner Jr., who survives of the home. She had lived in the Malta Bend and Grand Pass communities most of her life and was responsible for the Grand Pass area news in the Marshall Democrat-News for many years. She was a member of the Grand Pass Christian Church and attended the Grand Pass United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Waverly American Legion Auxiliary and the Carrollton Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Susan Musick and husband Kenneth of Bogard; one grandson, Matthew Musick; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and eight sisters.
