Wanda Lee Kinkade, 82, of Marshall, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at her daughter's home in Sacramento, Calif.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 16, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Born Dec. 28, 1923, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Vaught and Lois Johnson Vaught. On May 3, 1941, she married Boyd A. Kinkade, who preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1968. She returned to Marshall in 1980, moving from Quincy, Ill. She retired from Blessing Hospital in Quincy in 1979.
Survivors include her children, Boyd G. Kinkade of Frankford, Sharon Gail Reber of Sacramento, Calif., and David Lee Kinkade of Waterloo, Iowa; two brothers, Clifford J. Vaught of Marshall and Vernon W. Vaught of Wheatland; two sisters, Cassie Clause and Norma Shafer, both of Marshall; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister.
