Jessie Marie "Tiny" Shepard, 72, of Marshall, died Monday, June 5, 2006, at her home as the result of a house fire.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
Born Aug. 2, 1933, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Rader and Mabel Grandstaff Rader. In December 1974, she married Richard D. "R.D." Shepard, who died with her in their home. She had lived in Marshall most of her life, moving from Chehalis, Wash., where she had lived for 17 years. She was a homemaker and an avid baker. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Deibel of rural Marshall and Kenny Deibel and wife Sharon of rural Miami; one stepdaughter, Sherry Vogl and husband Bill of rural Marshall; two stepsons, Richard L. Shepard and wife Patricia of Granbury, Texas, and Harley Shepard and wife Martha of Blue Springs; two brothers, Roger Rader of rural Marshall and Howard "Gene" Rader of rural Marshall; one sister, Wanda Smith of Marshall; four grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, six sisters and one granddaughter.
