Louise Falls, 71, of Slater, died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at St. Paul Free Will Baptist Church in Slater. Eldress Anna Falls and Rev. Noah Poole will officiate. Friends may call Saturday prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born Oct. 8, 1934, in Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Solon and Elsie Buttner Gantt. On March 12, 1960, she married James Thomas Hayes, who preceded her in death Jan. 31, 1962. On Feb. 17, 1967, in Slater, she married James C. Falls, who preceded her in death July 29, 2004. She was a member of St. Paul Free Will Baptist Church and a retired custodian with the Slater public school system.
Survivors include three sons, David Hayes of Marshall, Freddy Hayes and Teddy Hayes, both of Slater; two daughters, Myrtle Wright and Shelly Maupin, both of Slater; one brother, Woodson Gantt of Compton, Calif.; one sister, Oletha Pipes of Los Angeles, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
