Leroy W. Estes, 48, of Marshall, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, in Greenview, as the result of a motorcycle accident.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, May 26, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with graveside services following at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery near Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bobby Estes, D.J. Estes, Doug Estes, Donnie Estes, George Estes, Warner Roberts, Chuck Smith and Caleb Rotramel. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born July 7, 1957, in Dexter, he was the son of the late Earnie L. Estes and Christine J. Mausey Estes, who survives of Marshall. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a master mechanic, welder and refrigeration specialist.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Karry Ptomey of Ionia and Kandi Estes of Sedalia; one son, Kris Estes of Sedalia; six grandchildren; four brothers, George Estes of Champaign, Ill., Don Estes of Camdenton, Bobby Estes of Green Ridge, and Doug Estes of Camdenton; four sisters, Mary Johnson of Holt, Barbara Hoyle of Waverly, Tina Estes of Marshall and Sue Lueck of Orlando, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Earnie Joe "Tinker" Estes.
