Jerry Leo Thomas, 62, of Marshall, died Friday, May 12, 2006, at home.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 15, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall. Rev. Douglas A. Dubisar officiated. Pallbearers were Zayne Thomas, Mike Scheef, Ed Browder, Josh Mann, Brian Francis and Jim Lewis. Jeretta Hardison, organist, played congregational hymns "At The Lamb's High Feast We Sing," "Alleluia! Let Praises Ring" and "Praise to the Lord Almighty." Burial will military rites was held at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born July 8, 1943, in Marshall, he was the son of the late J.W. Thomas and Ruth Kalthoff, who survives of Marshall, and the late Melvin Kalthoff. He had lived in Marshall his entire life and was a carpenter and painter. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Additional survivors include one son, Darin Thomas of Olathe, Kan.; one brother, Jack Thomas of Marshall; two sisters, Lana Mann of Marshall and Karla Slavens of Springfield; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
