Ruby Lee Kammeyer, 89, of Marshall, died Monday, May 8, 2006, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Rick Aulgur will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arrow Rock Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Arrow Rock Cemetery Association.
Born Nov. 24, 1916, in Cooper County, she was the daughter of the late Earl Isaac "Bud" Griffith and Allie Gash Griffith. On May 12, 1938, she married Earl William "Dick" Kammeyer, who preceded her in death Jan. 20, 2006. She had lived in the Arrow Rock area from 1938 to 1990 when she and her husband moved to Marshall. She was a member of Arrow Rock Federated Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Ella Widel and Earlene Davis, both of Blackwater, and Sue Rinne of rural Arrow Rock; one sister-in-law, Pat Griffith of Nevada; seven nieces, Mary Stith of rural Arrow Rock, Carol Frohoff of Portland, Ore., Fay Vessell of Blackwater, Kay Rock of Madison, Wis., Kim Moore of Columbia, Becky Blake of Mansfield, Texas, and Marlisa Livesay of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; two nephews, Terry Bagby and Larry Bagby, both of Blackwater; and several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Isaac Griffith and Bud Griffith; two sisters, Peachie Irene Bagby and Verna Cunningham; one nephew, Dale Rinne; and one great-nephew, Robby Stith.
