Marion William Eilers

Marion William Eilers, 83, of Raytown, died Friday, April 28, 2006, at Research Hospital in Kansas City.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Sheil Colonial Funeral Home in Kansas City. Burial will be in Arrow Rock at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 4.

Born Dec. 15, 1922, in Arrow Rock, he was the son of the late Hugo and Emma Eilers. He was a retired rural fire district fire chief and past master of the Masonic lodge in Raytown.

Survivors include his wife Betty Eilers of the home; one son, Kenneth Eilers and wife Debra; two brothers, August Eilers and Elmer Eilers; two sisters, Catherine Eilers and Ann Dennis; and one grandson, Matthew Eilers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Eilers; and three brothers, George Eilers, Benjamin Eilers and Charles Eilers.
