Elizabeth Ann Magnifico, 75, of Nutley, N.J., died Monday, April 17, 2006, at Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge, N.J.
A service was held Friday, April 21, at S.W. Brown and Son Funeral Home in Nutley, N.J.
She was the co-owner of Met-Speed Co. in Nutley, N.J., from 1980 to 2003. She was a graduate of the Margaret Morrison Division of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa. A member and past president of American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post No. 70, she was currently the rehabilitation chairperson for the State of New Jersey American Legion Auxiliary at East Orange Veterans Administration Medical Center. She was also a former president of the Essex County American Legion Women's Auxiliary, former president of La Petit Saloon Chapeau Passe 840 Club of New Jersey and a life member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Magnifico of the home; two daughters, Judith Keehart and husband Wayne of Miami and Nancy Thunell and husband Carl of Nutley, N.J.; three sons, Dr. Peter Magnifico and wife Cindy of Lexington, James Magnifico of New York state and John Magnifico of Mesquite, Texas; one sister, Ellen Cook of Boulder, Colo.; 10 grandchildren including Elizabeth Keehart Kennon and husband Bret of Marshall, Jonathon Keehart of Miami, and Nicholas and Christina Magnifico of Lexington; and two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Noah Kennon of Marshall.
