Fred W. Boedeker, 85, of Marshall, died Friday, April 21, 2006, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Wayne Doolin will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be held in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Born May 31, 1920, in Higginsville, he was the son of the late Fred C. Boedeker and Freda Starke Boedeker. On March 13, 1947, he married Edna Narron, who preceded him in death Aug. 8, 1996. He was a carpenter and was a member of the Evangelical Church in Blackburn. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Malta Bend American Legion Post 558 and V.F.W. Post 2646 in Marshall.
Survivors include one daughter, Marvine E. Wolford of Independence; six brothers, William C. Boedeker of Marshall, Harrell H. Boedeker of Malta Bend, W. Wayne Boedeker of Edwardsville, Kan., John L. Boedeker of Marshall, Jerome B. Boedeker of rural Marshall and James E. Boedeker of Marshall; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard E. Boedeker and Sidney A. Boedeker; and two sisters, Mary Louise Boedeker in infancy and Betty Ann Duvall.
