Clarence Willis Jr., 89, of Marshall, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Vernon Maxted will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Marshall.
Born July 1, 1916, in Slater, he was the son of the late Clarence Willis Sr. and Mattie Bryson Willis. On May 27, 1939, in Lawrence, Kan., he married Laura Laverne Weaver, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and attended Slater public schools. He was retired from Marshall Municipal Utilities power plant. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall.
Additional survivors include one son, Douglas Wayne Willis of Marshall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Willis.
