Nellie Faye Hoffman, 95, of rural Marshall, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. James C. Long will officiate. Pallbearers will be Paul Kliethermes, David Kliethermes, Terry Kliethermes, Jerry Lippold, Jeffrey Lippold and Joseph Todd. Friends may call Monday, April 17, until 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Covenant Presbyterian Church or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice.
Born Oct. 30, 1910, in Kansas City, she was the daughter of the late Hubert H. Hyland and Minnie Davenport Hyland. On Feb. 8, 1930, in Olathe, Kan., she married Thomas W. Hoffman, who preceded her in death Jan. 25, 1985. She had lived in Saline County since 1946, moving from Kansas City and was a homemaker. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and the Chapel Extension Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Ann Lippold and Patricia Lee Feltner both of Marshall; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
