Mildred L. Stockman, 86, of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at the Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 13, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs. Dan Wing will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church or Lutheran Good Shepherd Home.
Born Dec. 11, 1919, in Sweet Springs, she was the daughter of the late John Kueker and Emma Werneke Kueker. On June 4, 1941, she married Leonard John Stockman, who preceded her in death April 18, 2002. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in rural Sweet Springs and had lived in Sweet Springs her entire life. She had worked at International Shoe Company in Sweet Springs and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sweet Springs American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Nierman of Concordia and Carolyn Colson of Sweet Springs; one sister, Mary Ann Mueller of Sweet Springs; three granddaughters; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister in infancy.
