Ronald Jay Green, 63, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died Saturday, April 1, 2006, in Oklahoma City.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Knobhill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Rev. Ron Mimms will officiate. A music video prepared by the family will be shown. Pallbearers will be Marty Green, Jason Green, Greg Green, Ron Quigel, Jessie Quigel and Jeff McLamb. Visitation will be at Baggerly South Funeral Home in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City. Memorials are suggested to the Baptist children's home.
Born Dec. 12, 1942, in Marshall, he was the son of the late James C. Green and Helen Beard. On Feb. 27, 1965, in Oklahoma City, he married Mary Green, who preceded him in death in January 2005. He was a member of Knobhill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. He had served in the U.S. Navy, where he was a refueler, and worked as a baker in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include two daughters, Kelli Green of Oklahoma City and Misty Gilpen and husband Tom of Mustang, Okla.; one brother, Gary Green and wife Glenda of Sulfur, Okla.; one sister, Donna Quigel and husband Ronnie of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
