Patricia Ann Thiel, 77, of Marshall, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2006, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Father Kevin Gormley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Greg Thiel, Jim Thiel, Steve Schieszer, Lonnie Schieszer, Billy Thiel and Donnie Thiel. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Thiel, Austin Thiel and Alex Thiel. Prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at the church with visitation following from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Feb. 5, 1929, in Houston, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Noland Taylor and Edythe Caton Taylor Rankin. On June 18, 1960, she married Louis A. Thiel, who survives of the home. She had lived in Saline County most of her life and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She worked for the Marshall Chamber of Commerce for 12 years and was a member of the Marshall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Additional survivors include one son, Bryan Thiel and wife Terri of Marshall; one brother, George Rankin and wife Beth of Overland Park, Kan.; three grandsons, Brandon, Austin and Alex Thiel; three stepgrandchildren, Cory, Cayle and Kelley Sanders; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
