Betty R. Hayslip, 82, of Marshall, died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at First Presbyterian Church in Marshall. Rev. Pam Sebastian will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Feb. 29, 1924, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late William T. Buck and Frances Irene Herring Buck. On March 3, 1945, she married Sammy L. Hayslip, who preceded her in death Jan. 25, 1982. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a graduate of Marshall High School. She was an abstractor for many years, working at Van Dyke and Company for over 30 years and then Central Missouri Title Inc., retiring in October 2005. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one daughter, Diana Finley and husband Ray of Marshall; two grandsons, Darrin Finley and wife Christy and Craig Finley and wife Beth; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Samantha and F. Cooper Finley; one half brother, Larry Buck; a special cousin, Jean Buck of rural Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Mabel C. Buck.
