Shirley Gieseke Heinzler, 54, of rural Malta Bend, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born Aug. 20, 1951, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Gieseke and Adelma Fischer Gieseke, who survives of Sweet Springs. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a graduate of Concordia High School. She had worked at Tyson Foods in Concordia, Rival Manufacturing in Sweet Springs, Rose Acre Farms and was a cake decorator. She was a Lutheran.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Deena Van Steenburgh of Sweet Springs; two sons, Corey Heinzler and Andrew Heinzler, both of Kansas City; two sisters, Mary Langewisch of Trenton and Colleen Dierking of Blackburn; and several nephews.
