William A. "Bill" Coffman, 66, of Marshall, died Friday, March 10, 2006.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Vernon D. Maxted will officiate. Organist Ramona Bullington will play "In The Garden" and "Somewhere My Love." Interment will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Girls Town Foundation or Missouri Valley College in care of Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home.
Born May 31, 1939, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Edmond "Ted" Coffman and Elizabeth L. Cordy Coffman. On Jan. 1, 1961, in Sweet Springs, he married Ruth A. Akeman, who survives of the home. He was a resident of Marshall all of his life. He worked with his father at Ted's Auto Exchange and was a partner at Coffman Motors. Later he worked at Hare Ford. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall and a former member of the Marshall Jaycees and Marshall Lions Club.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Shelley Coffman Marlatt of Sibley and Kathy Coffman of Buckner; one brothers, Edmond "Ted" Coffman of Marshall; one sister, Judith E. Kreis of Norfolk, Va.; one grandson and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth A. "Betty" Coffman.
