Cocaine, pot found during city arrest

Monday, March 6, 2006

A Marshall man arrested Friday afternoon on two active warrants was also found, according to police, to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana.

A report from the Marshall Police Department reported that officers spotted Victor J. Bolden, 20, in the 500 block of East Jackson around 3:45 p.m. Friday and arrested Bolden because of two active warrants, one for class C felony aggravated assault and one for class B felony distribution of a controlled substance.

Officers reported Bolden was taken into custody without incident and a search of his person turned up one plastic bag "containing a quantity of white powder which tested positive for cocaine and one plastic bag containing a quantity of marijuana."

A report has been forwarded to Saline County Prosecuting Attorney Don Stouffer for additional charges related to the controlled substances.
