Betty J. Boston, 72, of Gilliam, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at New Frankfort Cemetery. Rev. Lynn Snapp will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jason Himmelberg, Shawn Aulgur, John Aulgur, Justin Herring, Cody Boston and Rodney Leipard. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
Born Dec. 2, 1933, in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Jesse J. and Besie Pope Williams. On May 23, 1953, in Lexington, she married William E. Boston Jr., who preceded her in death July 19, 2000. She retired from Con-Agra Frozen Foods in Marshall and was a longtime Gilliam resident.
Survivors include two sons, Chris Boston of Gilliam and Kelly Boston of Eustis, Fla.; one daughter, Sherry Fish of Edgerton; two sisters, Leola Newton of Slater and Wanda Hannon of Marshall; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
