Mildred L. Foster, 89, of Cameron, formerly of Saline County, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Cameron Manor in Cameron.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Gilliam Cemetery. Rev. Penny Smith will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born May 13, 1916, in Fayette, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Nola Epperson Friley. On March 2, 1938, she married Leslie M. Foster, who preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1949. She was a member of Independence Avenue United Methodist Church in Independence and had worked in the bookkeeping department at J.C. Penney and Montgomery Ward in Kansas City for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include three sons, LeRoy Foster of Portland, Ore., Fred Foster and Kenneth Foster, both of Cameron; one brother, Kenneth Friley of Goddard, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
