Beulah Waisner, 91, of Marshall, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Russ Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Waisner, Tim Waisner, Mike Heying, Scott Waisner, Jerry English and Lester Stringer. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl L. Johnson, Bob Hall, Earl Gibson and Richard Stark. Memorials are suggested to Gill Memorial Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
Born on a farm near Houstonia in Pettis County on Aug. 30, 1914, she was one of seven children of the late Sidney and Roxcie Wilcoxson Yokeley. She was married to Murray Waisner on Nov. 25, 1936, in Sedalia. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1990. A son, Murray Dale Waisner, died on Aug. 8, 1975. She had lived in Marshall since 1936 and was a charter member of Gill Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member and held several offices within the church.
Beulah loved to fish, play cards, travel, read and make quilts. She worked at various jobs, retiring from Sam's Department Store in 1976 after 12 years of service.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Waisner and wife Penny of Lincoln, Calif., and Kenneth Waisner of the home; one daughter, Susan Heying of Marshall; one sister, Faye Houk of Dayton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jeffery Waisner and Timothy Waisner both of the state of California, Scott Waisner of Vicksburg, Miss., Patricia Heck-English of Lake Tapawingo, Michael Heying of Marshall and Amy Stringer of Centerview; 12 great-grandchildren whom she dearly loved; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and two sisters-in-law, who were very close, Lena Bargfrede and Shirley Bradley.
In addition to her parents, husband and son, she was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother, Irene Strawbridge, Corene Nall, Lucille Sadewhite, Anna Mae Martin and Estel Yokeley.
