Sarah Elizabeth Harris LaGore, 94, of Marshall, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Born May 13, 1911, in Longwood, she was the daughter of the late John Bivens and Elizabeth Tozier Bivens. On May 8, 1927, she married Orloff Harris, who preceded her in death April 22, 1971. On Oct. 10, 1973, she married Russell R. LaGore, who preceded her in death July 15, 1993. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a homemaker. She had worked at the Marshall State School and Hospital.
Survivors include four sons, Clyde Harris and wife Judy of Marshall, Ernest Harris and wife Linda of Lee's Summit, Jack Harris and wife Pat of Reed's Spring and David Harris and wife Joyce of St. Cloud, Fla.; one daughter, Doris Brandon and husband Gary of Tubac, Ariz.; two stepsons, Phil LaGore and wife Beth of Marshall and Robert LaGore of Festus; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and one half-brother, Bud Bivens of Indian Grove.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Marvin Edward Harris; and a daughter, Eva Mae Harris.
