Logan "Bubby" Laster Jr., 57, of Marshall, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Marshall. Rev. Charles Stephenson Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall and from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Marshall.
Born March 11, 1948, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Logan Laster Sr. and Mady Hayes. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the Fisherman's Club.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Stephenson of Olathe, Kan., and Courtney Butner of Marshall; two daughters, Sheila Stephenson and Cassandra Harris, both of Marshall; three sisters, Lois Laster and Brenda Bucci Laster, both of Marshall, and Carmellia Jackson of Junction City, Kan.; five brothers, Fred Hayes of Marshall, Ivan Laster of Sedalia, Robert Laster of Denver, Colo., Wilson Laster of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bernard Laster of Boulder, Colo.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
